A total of 7,137 head of cattle were consigned at Roma’s Store Sale on Tuesday. Weaner steers under 200kg topped at 450c/kg and averaged 428c/kg, weaner steers in the 200-280kg range reached 466c/kg and averaged 421c/kg. Steers in the 280-330kg range reached 460c/kg and averaged 416c/kg, and steers in the 330-400kg range reached 438c/kg and averaged 385c/kg. Feeder steers in the 400-500kg range topped at 390c/kg and averaged 339c/kg. DC Diamond Pastoral, Mirri Mirri, Hannaford, sold Charolais cross steers to 464c/kg, reaching a top of $1,429 to average $1,208. The Charolais cross heifers sold to 354c/kg, reaching a top of $1,109 to average $957. FG & R Dunn, Coogoon, Roma, sold Angus cross steers to 460c/kg, reaching a top of $1,435 to average $1,355.
